X-istance Youth Café

A new youth cafe is now open.  It is located in the Old "Star and Garter Bar" premises on Church Street and is a young trendy place for North Kerry teens to call their own.

The Café has a range of facilities including TV, computer games, pool, table games, etc and also serves snacks .The café is also starting to host events for a variety of interest groups.  Various “events” being held in the café include the first Wii sports tournament, Band Nights, Youth Table Quizzes.

Over the last 6 weeks, students from St. Michael’s College and the Presentation Secondary School Listowel, have been busy collaborating together on a creative animation project. The project is organised by The Happy Artist as part of a residency programme with Listowel Writer’s Week
